Words To Live By...

"Our Deepest Fear"

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

I first heard these words as some of you may have on the movie "Akeelah and The Bee." Although the movie did not show Akeelah reading the poem in its entirety the words still sent chills up my spine, got my heart racing and my head working overtime. I even remember rewinding the movie a couple times just to hear those words again to instill it in my brain where it needed to be, where it needs to be for everyone. I then proceeded next as to go far as write it down, which led to my inevitably looking up the poem on the internet. Once I got to the right site I found what you see above, and begun to let the words sit in and soak in my brain. I have always been a chump and inspired by true motivational words, because I feel like I live by these words or at least attempt to in my everyday life. Always trying to see the positive in every situation, always having faith in all I do, never leaving in fear, to keep moving forward and strive for the best, but most importantly always trying to inspire and motivate others. If you can read this poem and not get not type of feeling behind the words as the run through your brain then I guess you either have already had these words in your heart or that you either are very confused and lost! Either way I just thought I would put this poem up as something to share being that it is something that I still read to this day when need be to keep me in the right mindset.

We are all individual moving in life to reach various goals, still all connected in all we do whether we know it or not. All of life feeds off each other and moves another aspect along. Be you and be proud, for there is no one else completely like you on the face of the earth and for that along should be motivation enough!
